Tony Foret, 39, of Houma, Louisiana, has been arrested by the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on charges related to the theft of a motor vehicle. The incident took place around July 12, 2025, near Paincourtville.
Authorities began investigating after a local farm manager reported an off-road vehicle stolen on July 14, 2025. Detectives gathered electronic video evidence showing a suspect vehicle. This led them to a residence on Joe Dugas Road where Jason Michael Arceneaux, 31, was arrested.
Detectives later identified Tony Foret as another suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. He remained at large until he turned himself in on Monday. He was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and faces charges of theft of a motor vehicle. His bond is set at $15,000.
The stolen off-road vehicle was recovered in Lafourche Parish. Sheriff Leland Falcon expressed appreciation for the assistance provided by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.
