Alarious Davon Oliney, 30, of Baton Rouge, has been arrested on a warrant after failing to appear in court on felony gun charges in Assumption Parish. The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that Oliney was previously arrested and was scheduled to attend a jury trial on February 11, 2026. The trial was set to begin with jury selection for the charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to authorities, Oliney did not appear as ordered for his court date, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant on February 11. He later turned himself in at the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Thursday night.

Oliney has been booked on charges including failure to appear in court for his scheduled jury trial related to possessing a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon as a convicted felon. Additionally, there is a detainer from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office. He is being held without bond.
