The Assumption Parish Police Jury will meet Monday December 12th for a special meeting and Wednesday December 14th for their regular meeting. The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office has opened registration for its free summer basketball and volleyball leagues in 2026. Children ages six through fifteen can participate in activities held at Napoleonville Middle School Gym.
The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the felony arrest of Sharrie M. Williams after responding to a disturbance complaint in Plattenville. Authorities say Williams remains jailed on multiple charges with bond set at $35,000.
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced the arrest of Grant Paul Johnson for violating probation terms after an earlier conviction. Authorities say Johnson turned himself in and is being held without bond.
