Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced on April 20 the arrest of Henry Joseph Brown, Jr., age 54, on a warrant for probation or parole violation.
The announcement highlights the enforcement of court-ordered supervision and compliance with probation terms in Assumption Parish. Violations can lead to immediate arrest and detention without bond.
According to Falcon, Brown was convicted on August 26, 2025, for possession of crack cocaine. He received an 18-month suspended sentence with supervised probation and was required to comply with special conditions set by the court. However, authorities said Brown violated these terms, resulting in a warrant issued for his arrest on February 11, 2026.
On March 20, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office learned that deputies from Lafourche Parish had stopped Brown in Thibodaux and confirmed the outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody and later transferred to Assumption Parish Detention Center on April 20.
Brown is currently being held without bond pending further legal proceedings. For more information about this case or other related matters, contact Sheriff Leland Falcon or Public Information Officer Lonny Cavalier at (985) 498-9353 or (985) 369-2912.
