Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced on April 27 the arrest of Grant Paul Johnson, age 48, of Pierre Part, Louisiana, on a warrant for a probation or parole violation.

The case concerns the enforcement of probation terms following a conviction for indecent behavior with a juvenile. According to the statement, Johnson was convicted on December 29, 2023. After serving his incarceration sentence, he was released under supervised probation and required to comply with special conditions set by the court.

Authorities said that Johnson violated those conditions. As a result, a warrant for his arrest was issued by the Louisiana Department of Corrections on January 2, 2026. The sheriff’s office reported that Johnson turned himself in at the Assumption Parish Detention Center on April 25 and was booked accordingly.

Sheriff Falcon confirmed that “Grant Paul Johnson was ordered held without Bond.” The sheriff’s office provided contact information for further inquiries regarding this news release.

This case highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to ensure compliance with court-ordered supervision after criminal convictions.
