Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced on Apr. 21 the arrest of Kenya Marie Lewis, 28, of Plattenville, Louisiana, on a fugitive warrant from the Plaquemine Police Department following a traffic stop in Paincourtville.

The case involves a charge of monetary instrument abuse. According to Falcon, a uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed Lewis commit a traffic violation near Pugh Street and conducted a stop.
