Cajun Dance Lessons Scheduled for Summer 2023

The Terrebonne Folklife Culture Center is offering Beginners Cajun Dance Lessons this summer starting in July. 

Classes will be offered from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the following dates: 

  • July 28, 2023
  • August 4, 2023
  • August 11, 2023

Classes will take place at the Folklife Culture Center, 317 Goode Street. The cost is $5 per person per class. Couples are preferred, but singles are welcome. 

Classes will be limited to 20 couples. Registration is required.

Steven Burnette Turner, Jr., of Napoleonville has been arrested on felony theft charges after allegedly continuing to collect unemployment benefits after being re-employed. The arrest followed an investigation by the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and a routine traffic stop.
