Of the 1,892 people living in Bayou L’Ourse in 2019, 53.6 percent (1,015) were women and 46.4 percent (877) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Houma-Thibodaux News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 619-to-472. In the 65 and over age range, there were 110 females and 120 males.
