Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced on Apr. 16 that Deputy Carly Campo has graduated from the Lafourche Basic Training Academy as a level I fully certified peace officer.
Campo, who is assigned to the Communications Division, completed the academy which began on January 12 and concluded this past Wednesday. The program covers both basic and advanced police training, including areas such as traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, search and seizure procedures, report writing, domestic law, narcotics education, and other law enforcement topics.
According to the sheriff’s office statement, “Carly has served in the Communications Division for 4 ½ years.” Sheriff Falcon attended the graduation ceremony along with Chief Deputy Bruce Prejean and Deputy Jude Verrette.
The announcement also provided contact information for further inquiries about the news release through Sheriff Falcon or Public Information Officer Lonny Cavalier.
The completion of this training marks a significant step in Campo’s career development within law enforcement.
