Nicholls Athletics brings back Seafood Extravaganza

THIBODAUX, La. — Nicholls State  University Athletics will host the 20th Annual Seafood Extravaganza at  6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 in the Cotillion Ballroom at the Donald G.  Bollinger Memorial Student Union.

Guests will dine on all-you-can-eat,  delicious seafood, including crawfish, shrimp, crabs and more. The  seafood is sponsored by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing  Board. 

Neal Swanner will be honored posthumously with the 2022 Hall of Distinction Award. Hall  of Distinction candidates, who need not have attended or graduated from  Nicholls, must have distinguished themselves in service and leadership  by playing an active role in supporting Colonel Athletics. Swanner  is the former owner of Bubba’s II Poboys and was a prominent supporter  of Nicholls Athletics through the years helping to provide upgraded  facilities for softball, baseball, and football and endowed over 30  scholarships for students.

In between platters, there will be a  live and silent auction featuring unique items including Nicholls sports  memorabilia and one-of-a-kind athletics experiences with Nicholls  coaches. Proceeds go toward scholarships for student-athletes.

Ticket options range from a single ticket for $150 with an Individual VIP Hour Add-On for an extra $50.

Sponsorship opportunities include the  $3,000 Supporting Sponsorship that comes with 10 tickets and company  logo on the website and program; the $4,000 VIP Presenting Sponsorship,  which includes 10 tickets with added VIP access, and company logo on the  website, auction site, program, screen and VIP goodies; and the $6,000  Title Sponsorship, which includes 10 tickets with added VIP access,  company logo on the event title, website, auction site, program, screen,  table cards, invitations and mentions throughout the event.
