THIBODAUX, La. — Nicholls Assistant  Professor of Chemistry Dr. Theodore Alivio co-authored two published  papers. One paper was published in ACS Publications Journal of Chemical  Education, and one paper was published in AIP Chemical Physics Reviews.  The paper featured in the AIP Chemical Physics Reviews was also featured  on the issue’s cover and in an AIP Scilight article.
Scilights, “science highlights,”  showcase the most interesting research across the physical sciences  published in AIP Publishing Journals. Scilights briefly summarize newly  published research written by professional science writers and are  written to showcase what is new and important in the latest research.
The Journal of Chemical Education  is the world’s premier chemical education journal. JCE publishes  peer-reviewed articles and related information as a resource to those in  the field of chemical education and to those institutions that serve  them.
Chemical Physics Reviews features  articles on important and emerging topics of interest to the chemical  physics community. Articles published in CPR focus on experimental and  theoretical research of fundamental issues in chemical physics and its  applications in other branches of science, medicine and engineering.
Dean of Sciences and Technology, Dr. John Doucet said, “Troy’s  work is not only being recognized on the national level but,  importantly, at the local level as well. He is an excellent instructor  and student mentor here at Nicholls, and his efforts contribute to the  remarkable growth of enrollment in the chemistry program.”
