The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) is pleased to announce its recognition of National Homeownership Month in June 2023. LHC will actively participate in this nationwide celebration by organizing programming and events aimed at empowering Louisiana’s families with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to achieve homeownership. 

Throughout June, LHC will host the following events/webinars and provide online tools on its website to assist families in navigating the homebuying process. 

Taste of Home: An event catering to prospective homebuyers who are interested in learning about the process, programs, and resources offered by LHC related to homeownership. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with industry experts while enjoying food and drinks.

  • Date: June 3, 2023
  • Time: 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 a.m.

Homebuyer Education Courses: These courses are designed to provide potential homeowners with key information about the homebuying process. Each course will focus on budgeting, credit management, down payment assistance, low-interest loans, and homebuyer rights. Courses are offered both in-person and virtually. Refer to the website for more details about the courses and registration information.

  • June 6: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • June 8: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • June 24: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • June 27: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • June 28: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
