The Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement and Community Engagement is a senior level administrator who serves as the chief fundraising and friend-raising officer of the college.
In a ceremony Tuesday at Columbia University, leadership of Columbia and Southern University and A&M College, one of the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities, signed a memorandum of understanding to formalize a new partnership that will facilitate faculty research collaborations; exchange and experiential learning programs for students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty; and innovation and economic development initiatives.
Nicholls State University is set to host ArtWorks, the region’s premier art auction and interactive event, on Tuesday, March 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Talbot Hall.
Donors Kenneth “Jerry” and Dianne Myers created the Myers Family Endowed Scholarship to benefit students at Nicholls State University. The scholarship will be awarded to graduates of E.D. White Catholic High School.
Nicholls recently received $50,000 from Chevron to develop the Bayou Region Incubator and the Student Entrepreneur and Innovation Center, which will provide business incubation and co-working space for entrepreneurs striving to develop a business venture.
Nicholls Athletics Seafood Extravaganza is set to take place on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in the Nicholls Cotillion Ballroom. All proceeds benefit Nicholls student-athlete scholarships.
Graduate students in Nicholls’ Environmental Law and Policy course traveled to Grand Isle, Port Fourchon, Golden Meadow and Lockport as part of a Biology workshop concentrating on life and law on the Louisiana coast.
