Several health and wellness events and screenings are scheduled to take place in Terrebonne Parish in the coming weeks. These events aim to provide the community with valuable healthcare services and resources.

One of the upcoming events is the Cervical Health Event, which will be held on Wednesday, January 24th, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Main Library. This event will offer cervical health screenings, STI screenings, HPV, COVID, and flu vaccinations, and much more. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals to prioritize their reproductive health and stay up to date with important vaccinations.

Another event to look forward to is the Health & Wellness Event on Thursday, February 8th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Terrebonne Parish Health Unit. This event will provide a wide range of services, including TB screenings, flu and COVID vaccinations, free COVID home tests, STI screenings, mammograms, blood pressure screenings, and information on opioids and Narcan. Additionally, there will be CPR and Stop the Bleed demonstrations, as well as colorectal and breast cancer screenings. This event aims to address various health concerns and promote overall well-being in the community.

Furthermore, the Dulac Community Center will host a Health & Wellness Event on Wednesday, February 21st, from 9 a.m. to noon. This event will offer TB screenings, flu and COVID vaccinations, free COVID home tests, STI screenings, blood pressure screenings, and information on opioids and Narcan. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in CPR and Stop the Bleed demonstrations, access behavioral health resources, and learn about the Nurse Family Partnership resources. Additionally, the TGHS Mobile CARE Clinic will be onsite to provide additional screenings and support.

These events aim to provide accessible healthcare services and resources to the residents of Terrebonne Parish.
