The Louisiana Office of Community Development - Disaster Recovery is inviting public participation in the second virtual meeting for Hurricane Francine recovery efforts. The meeting will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. This session is part of a 30-day public comment period that runs from March 5 to April 4, 2025, concluding at 5:00 p.m.

The Proposed Master Action Plan focuses primarily on addressing housing needs and includes mitigation activities within its home repair program. The state plans to allocate 93 percent of its $117 million CDBG-DR funding to the Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Programs, which aims to address the homeowner need that constitutes 85 percent of the overall regional need. Additional funds are designated for planning efforts supporting risk reduction strategies and infrastructure development.

Interested parties can attend the meeting to learn more or submit comments on the proposed action plan. The plan is available in three languages for residents wishing to review it.
