Coastal zone management seeks public comment on permit applications

The Coastal Zone Management office has announced the receipt of applications for a Coastal Use Permit and/or a Coastal Impact Certificate. The applications are currently under review, with a public comment period open until July 19, 2024.

Jake Bienvenu has proposed digging a small pond and filling in low spots that hold water on his property located in Section 53, T19S-R17E in Terrebonne Parish. This application is filed under P20240401.

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana has proposed placing 900 cubic yards of hay bale squares inside cribbing to reduce water flow and retain sediment within Trenasse. This project is located in Section 1, T19S-R20E in Terrebonne Parish and is filed under P20240454.
