The Terrebonne Parish Library, in collaboration with the State Library of Louisiana, has announced new digital resources accessible statewide. The newly available tools include Mometrix eLibrary, Scholastic BookFlix, TrueFlix, and ScienceFlix. These resources aim to aid test preparation, improve literacy skills, and encourage science education for users of various ages.
Mometrix eLibrary offers study materials for over 1,500 standardized exams. It covers a range of tests such as college entrance exams, graduate school exams, teacher certifications, nursing and medical exams, and civil service tests.
Scholastic BookFlix is designed for children aged 3 to 8. It pairs animated stories with nonfiction ebooks to create an interactive reading experience that helps young readers build vocabulary and early literacy skills.
ScienceFlix targets students aged 10 to 15 with curriculum-aligned content that includes interactive tools and hands-on projects related to STEM subjects like technology and engineering.
TrueFlix caters to children aged 8 to 11 by enhancing science and social studies learning through multimedia content including videos and ebooks.
These resources can be accessed at all Terrebonne Parish Library branches or from home using a library card. Rachel LeCompte, Associate Director for Terrebonne Parish Library stated: “By introducing these state-of-the-art digital tools, we’re enriching the educational support we provide to our community. These resources are a game-changer for learners of all ages.”
