There were 1,123 ninth grade students enrolled in Terrebonne Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 19.4% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

H. L. Bourgeois High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Terrebonne Parish schools, the most students were found in first grade classes, while 12th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Terrebonne Parish ranked 14th highest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 15th highest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
